"I used Deluxe Dye Works and Area Rug Cleaners, two years ago. They cleaned the area rug for me. They do area rugs. The first time I used them, I had a white carpet. It had a white oriental design. I had a very large dog. She would always take out her frustrations on the carpet and it was always on the same spot. I had used different cleaning products to get rid of the spot. After she died, I decided to take the carpet to this company. They did a beautiful job. The pale urine color stains were all gone. There was absolutely nothing left. The odor was completely gone. Whenever I have an area rug that needs to be cleaned, I always take it to them. They have been around for years. I know that they pick up the carpets. However, I found it easier to take it to them. "Cleaning of a 9 x 12 foot wool area rug. Purchase of a 9 x 12 carpet pad cut to match the rug. I am very happy with the service I received at Deluxe Dye Works. The rug is a Karastan wool carpet with edge binding. Since it was rolled up in my garage for a few months after I moved, I decided to take it for cleaning instead of just putting it into my new house. Deluxe Dye Works seemed well qualified for the job. When I took my rug in, I was given a nice little tour of how rugs are cleaned. Rugs are hand washed in a large cleaning area with water and soap, then hung up in a large vertical dryer. The process took about 2 weeks from when I dropped off the rug to when I was informed it was ready for pickup. I also had them cut a new pad. I think the cost of having the rug cleaned alone would be about $120 or so (I don't remember the exact cost split between the cleaning and the pad.) The cost of cleaning a rug with tassels or something more delicate than my rug would cost a bit more I was told. My rug came back rolled up in paper, very dean, nice smelling, dry and soft. "I must have contacted 3 or 4 other companies from Angie's List; none of them did antique/Persian/Oriental rugs, and they kept referring me to other companies, but the companies they referred me to didn't do specialty rugs either! Finally, one of them got it right, and referred to to these guys, and boy, am I glad. These guys identified and gave a rough-estimate appraisal on a gorgeous rug I bought in Morocco; turns out, I was ripped off by an unscrupulous merchant; it was a rayon Belgian, not a silk Moroccan! *pout* But oh well. They took it and cleaned it for me. They also gave me a reasonable estimate to fix some damage to the tassels, but once I found out the rug was just a forgery, I decided not to go for it. I also had them Scotchguard it. They also do insurance appraisals, but again, since my rug turned out not to be anything too special, I declined. SUPER! I have rarely been this impressed by a company. Even though my job was a cheap one by most standards, they gave it a lot of time and care and attention Greg (the manager) answered all my questions really well, and was very friendly. I brought the finished rug home, and there were still a couple of "scratchy" spots. I thought they had missed a few spots, but it turns out the rug was such a lame forgery that some of the glue from the backing had broken down and seeped through, but anyway, I lived kinda close, so Greg and one of his guys came by my place, checked the rug out, took it back to retouch up those spots to see if there was anything else they could do, and got it done for me at no extra cost.
